Because of it's scenic beauty, Lake Cuyamaca is a highly desired location for filming backgrounds. This applies to still photography, motion picture and video production.

We recognize that sometimes schedules require same day turnaround on permits. If you contact us we can generally have approval in 2 to 3 hours or less. To expedite your requests, please download and fax the facilities use permit (Adobe Acrobat PDF file) along with the certificate of insurance to us at (760) 765-1749. LOCATION FEE SCHEDULE

Minimum fee is $350.00 for the first day and $250.00 for each additional day. Fee covers up to one motor home, two cars and up to ten people. The minimum fee applies for any portion of our normal day which is defined as being from 6:00 a.m. until sunset. An additional hourly fee may be assessed to cover staffing requirements for shoots taking place outside of our normal hours.

Larger or more intensive shoots or special needs will be charged accordingly, however, our staff will do everything possible to accommodate filming. Some areas may be unavailable due to endangered species concerns and, in most cases, viable alternatives are available.

Insurance Requirements

Lake Cuyamaca Recreation and Park District must be listed as a named "additional insured". Minimum policy limits are $2,000,000 in aggregate; $1,000,000 each occurrence.
