Here are the requirements of our youth fishing program:

  1. All organized youth groups with prior reservations can fish for free.
  2. Each youth must wear a name tag with their name and the organization printed on the tag.
  3. All members of that group 16 years of age and older must possess a valid fishing license.
  4. Adults must purchase a day use permit if they choose to fish, however, we recommend that the adults devote their attention to the youths in order to give them the best possible experience.
  5. The District will provide up to 10 fishing poles at no charge to a responsible adult, with the understanding that any damage to equipment will be paid for at our cost.
  6. The reels cost us $18.95 and the pole is $23.00. It is good equipment and it stands up to use and abuse fairly well.
  7. If you decide to stay with us please let our North Shore Ranger, Beckie Strahan, know in advance. She can be reached at (619-972-4601). Her campsites are very close to some of the best shore fishing.
  8. Groups pay regular price for camping and boat rentals.
  9. The only thing that we ask is that each group send us a letter telling us how many children fished and the number and type of fish caught.

IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO VOLUNTEER TO DO SOME PUBLIC SERVICE PROJECTS HERE AT THE LAKE, PLEASE LET US KNOW.
