Tackle Shop 

Fall hours - Effective Sept 1, 2025:

• 8am-4pm - Mon-Thurs
• 6am-6pm - Fri, Sat & Sun

SPECIAL HOURS - DERBY WEEKEND - NO FISHING / BOATING SEPT  15-19

Friday - as the lake is closed for fishing, the tackle shop may not open before 8am on Friday Sept 19th to help free up staff for preparations.

Saturday - As our staff work a very long day, starting before 4am, there is a chance that the tackle shop will close before 6pm on Saturday the 20th. We will make an announcement during the derby lunch and awards with information. If so, it will likely be between 4pm and 5pm instead of 6pm.

Day Use Fee 

• $10.00 per car
• Park access from one hour before sunrise to one hour after sunset.
• Campers: Free with site
• Anglers: Free with Fishing Permit

​Yearly Pass - Day Use (not fishing)

• $40 per person

​Fishing

The lake is open for fishing daily but you must check in at the Tackle Shop to show your CA State Fishing License and buy your Lake Cuyamaca Fishing Permit. Fishing must be over by one hour after sunset. 

No night fishing is allowed. 

​Fishing Permits

• Adult, 16 and older: $10.00
• Youth, 8 to 15: $5.00
• Child, 7 and under: Free (Must be accompanied by paying adult)
• Senior, disabled, first responder & military: $5.00

​CA State Fishing License

You need a California State Fishing License if you are 16 years of age or older.

• One Day License: $20.26
• Two Day License: $31.06
• Annual License: $61.82
